Bill is a native of Houston County, Alabama and resides in Ashford with his family. He received his B.S. in Wildlife Science from Auburn University in 1990. In May of 2020, he retired from a nearly 30-year career as a wildlife biologist with the Alabama Department of Conservation. He has over 3 decades of experience managing forested habitats for deer, turkey and quail on public and private lands. He also worked extensively with Alabama’s deer research programs. Bill has provided technical assistance to countless landowners across the state, helping them develop wildlife management plans, improve habitat, and create exceptional hunting experiences. He is a Certified Wildlife Biologist and Alabama Certified Prescribed Burn Manager with over 25 years and 15,000 + acres of prescribed burning experience. Realizing a lifelong dream to purchase a legacy tract for his own family, he is keenly aware of the rewards and responsibilities of owning land.
