Jay is President of Mitchell Forestry and Wildlife Services, Inc. He has worked in the forestry and wildlife profession since August 1998. Jay graduated from Mississippi State University in 1994 with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Husbandry. He worked in the animal science industry for Prestage Farms, a large hog producer based in North Carolina, for 5 years. In 1998, realizing the rapid growth of Mitchell Forestry Consulting, Jay came to work with his dad. In order to more effectively assist landowners in successfully accomplishing their forestry and wildlife goals, Jay began in 2004 to work in earnest toward a second degree in forestry and wildlife management. Jay graduated in May 2006 from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management.
