This plot is part of the existing Tierra Grande subdivision, which has some 1,900 other lots. The subdivision is accessible from multiple highways, including Interstate 25, New Mexico Highway 47 and U.S. Highway 60 (which runs through Tierra Grande).

The area is zoned for single family residential and residents are allowed to keep 2 horses per 5 acres. Homes in the area sell for an average price of about 14,000 so building a house is a great way to increase the value of this lot.

The parcel is located within the Tierra Grande Improvement Association. Please contact Tierra Grande for more information on their rules and regulations on building and land use.

Location

Tierra Grande is a subdivision within Valencia and Socorro Counties, New Mexico. As part of your purchase of this lot, you will buy into 14,000 acres of permanent open space, conserved and maintained by the Tierra Grande Improvement Association. The area also borders the Manzano Mountains, which has many trails for hiking, backpacking and horseback riding. The area is known for the beauty of its night sky, which has been declared by New Mexico as one of the state's Most Endangered Cultural Resources.

Belen is only 17 minutes away from Tierra Grande and is geographically at the center of New Mexico. There is a commuter railroad to Albuquerque and Santa Fe in Belen and several festivals throughout the year. The total population is around 7,000. Property values in Belen and Socorro County are likely to see a boost due to the upcoming construction of a Facebook data center in Los Lunas (15 minutes outside of Belen and 30 minutes from Tierra Grande). In addition, Los Lunas was recently awarded a federal grant to build water infrastructure out to its new Bnsf Central Rail Park. The construction of the rail park and its attendant infrastructure should bring lots of jobs to the area.
