Alpine Valley Oasis with a Driveway : Blanca : Alamosa County : Colorado

Lot Description

The San Luis Valley is one of the largest alpine valleys in the world. It is surrounded by the Sangre de Cristo Mountain range to the east and the San Juan Mountain range to the west. There are hundreds of acres of raw, uncommercialized land in between to explore. It is one of the only places you will find that has been left untouched and undeveloped.

This parcel sits at the base of Mt. Blanca and Mt. Lindsey, the two 14ers. The views from this close are breathtaking and there won't be commercial buildings, large condos, or million dollar housing complexes to block your perfect view. With a parcel this size, you will have the privacy and space needed to enjoy the view without neighbors.

Off-gridders, dry campers, boondockers all love this area. Why spend money to be stuck in a crowded campground looking at the side of another camper instead of the mountains? The land is already prepped to pull a camper out and set up your mountain getaway. Now I will warn you, many people come here to visit and stay forever. Building a new mountain cabin will be easy with well maintained roads, close proximity of the highway, and Alamosa being 30 mins west. Alamosa has all the big box stores such as Walmart, Big R, and Ace Hardware. There are medical facilities, schools, shopping, hotels, and entertainment.

The area is famous for its geological wonders. You can sand sled down the sandy slopes of The Great Sand Dunes or see a high desert waterfall at Zapata Falls. There are natural hot springs, forested hunting lands, and the Rio Grande River snakes through the valley.

The area has tourist attractions, nature preserves, and outdoor activities. There are museums and historical sites littered throughout the valley showing Native American, Spanish, and American history. The railroad and Rio Grande River running through the area provides much historical significance. The geography and natural landscape offers desert, forestry, and water recreation such as hunting, fishing, climbing, hiking, off-roading, boating, kayaking, etc. Shopping at the local boutiques and artisan shops give an example of the many regional talents. Enjoying local flavor at the many eateries could be a hobby on its own.

This is a great location. My personal cabin is less than a mile from it...look up the hill and you can see me. We chose this location for its proximity to everything while we still felt like we were out in the mountains. Come be my neighbor. And this one already has a driveway and camping area put in for immediate camping on day 1.

You don't have to break the bank to own a piece of Colorado. You can build your mountain home here for down and 52 monthly payments of or low cash price of .
