Recreation

Elk Hunt Area 9 and Deer Hunt Area 76 are right next door and offer general over the counter tags and great big game hunting as well as wildlife watching and sightseeing for all of the neighborhood critters. There are fantastic 4 wheeling and off roading trails, as well as hiking, camping, fishing and a host of other endless outdoor activities. Skiing is close by at the Snowy Range Ski Area and the town of Centennial, WY. Top notch snowmobiling can be found at Albany and Wy Colo, WY. and the historic Woods Landing Resort is just a minute down the road for refueling and relaxing at the end of a full day.

Location

Laramie and the University of Wyoming, as well as the Laramie Regional Airport are all just a short drive back into town. Encampment and Saratoga WY are an easy drive through the mountains, with Steamboat CO sitting to the south. Cheyenne and the Wyoming State Capitol is about an hour over the Summit, and it's just a bit further back to the Colorado Front Range and Denver International Airport.
