You get to this property using Pilot Road which is a section road and is well maintained. Then you take 9th street in the JL Ranches subdivision to K Street. You go south on K street about.5 miles, then a rocky dirt road will head toward Pilot Peak. After the 3 manufactured homes you take the road to the East and it will take you right to the north side of the property.

I saw Antelope on the way to the property. I have also seen birds, ground squirrels, elk, coyote and cows. Vegetation includes mostly prairie grass, sagebrush, and cactus. There are some juniper trees closer to the mountains.

There are a few homesteads surrounding the property. The homesteads in JL Ranches have Water and Power. I do not know if it can be extended to this property. Pilot Valley lies over an aquifer that supplies water to Montello and the surrounding areas, but many homesteads have above ground water storage and solar power.

At the north end of Pilot Road is a cell tower which provides good cell service through the valley.

This would be a great property to homestead on for someone who is interested in living off the grid.
