Mountain Views To Die For
Carson, NM 87517
Taos County, New Mexico

Lot Description
The Carson Estates is an undeveloped subdivision and is one of the closest rural subdivisions to Taos. People there share the common ideas of off grid living and being able to do with your land what you want to do. There have not been any utilities run to this area yet.
These beautiful adjacent lots are in Unit 5, which is the unit with the highest elevation in Carson Estates. The views are fantastic.
Each lot is approximately 0.25 acre and combined you will have approximately 1 acre, which is well over the generally accepted minimum of 0.75 acre for a conventional septic system and building permit. You can enjoy these scenic properties by camping or RVing while you visit this area with all of its natural attractions along with the art and restaurants of Taos. You can enjoy your property, including its tremendous mountain views, while holding it for investment or you can build any time that you choose to do so.
This group of properties is less than two thirds of a mile from the border of thousands of acres of Bureau Of Land Management and National Forest land.
This group of four lots is two wide by two long. This gives you twice the width that you would ordinarily have with four lots that were all side-by-side. Lots A and B have legally platted access easements on their east side, while Lots I and J have legally platted easements on their west side.
Combined this will give you a large one acre area of 346 wide by 127.3 feet tall.
These properties are Carson Estates, Unit 5, Block 95, Lots A, B, I, and J.
Unit 5 is at the highest elevation of the entire subdivision and sites on the south slope of Peak Cerro de los Taoses (which translates to "Hill of the Taos" or "Taos Hill"). The northern border of this unit sits only 800 yards from this peak, which is at 8,009 feet. The subdivision is lightly sloping to the south and is bordered on the east by hundreds of acres of BLM land and on the north by thousands of acres of the Carson National Forest.
Almost all of the area south and west of the subdivision is also national forest land. This will help to preserve the area and protect it from overbuilding. This also protects the wildlife which is why you will see deer, elk, pronghorn antelope, and black bear grazing in this area. The region is covered in mountain sagebrush and native grasses with some juniper and pine.
