12 Semi-loads of Yellow Stone National Park dry standing Lodge Pole Pine was used to build this 44 Corner Log Home Retreat on the beautiful Chetek chain of lakes. This Log Home was meticulously hand crafted by Mennonites and features the Swedish Cope joints and all hand hewn 12 inch Lodge Pole Pine Logs with an open King Beam and Rafter Ceiling system. The King Beams throughout the entire home are 10x18's 22 2x4's can be made from every King Beam and the Rafters are 10x12 s. A new roof with a Life Time Warranty was installed in the spring of 2018. There is enough timber in this structure to build 5 Conventional Style homes of the same square footage. It has a 180 foot Western Redwood Deck including all of the Headers and Stringers encompassing three sides of the home and a second story Redwood Chalet Deck off the Master Bedroom. 200,000 pounds of stone was hand picked some of which weigh 300 pounds each to build the 28 foot high Heat-a-Lator fireplace in the Great Room as well as one in the Master Bedroom. A stone cave was also constructed to build in the 1st floor Jacuzzi and the Commercial Gas Griddle is also built into a rock enclave. A large BBQ area is built which overlooks the lake of the same hand picked stone to match the rest of the rock work.

The Master Bedroom is Massive with another heat-a-lator fireplace complete with built-in dumbwaiter to deliver needs to be completed to deliver wood directly to the fireplace. The ceilings in the master bedroom range from 12 to 18 feet high and feature the 10x18 inch King Beams, 10x12 Rafters and 2x6 tongue and groove western pine ceilings. Sliding glass doors open to the Chalet Deck which offers a view to the lake as well as the bay area. The Master Bathroom has a walk-in closet and a 2 person Jacuzzi. The kitchen features an Executive Chef Kohler sink accented with Chicago Brass fixtures and solid oak Quaker Maid Cabinetry. The dining area which adjoins the kitchen has a Commercial Gas Griddle placed in a specially constructed rock enclave which matches all the rest of the rock work. The dining area has a beautiful panoramic view of the lake and is a perfect place to fix company breakfast.

The home was designed with several heating systems including the Thermo-Electric Stored Heating which offers toasty warm floors all winter long and Half Price electricity to operate it because it is Stored Energy. Other heating systems include a High Efficiency Trane Forced Air Gas Furnace with a buried 500 gallon tank which also supplies gas to the commercial griddle. The home has 2 very large Heat-a-Lator fireplaces and supplemental floor board heaters. Landscaping includes an irrigation system, a cobblestone paver driveway and a matching cobblestone patio with very few steps down to the water. The entire lakeshore has been finished with matching stone.
